Chappelow Sports Turf has many years’ experience in rugby pitch construction and can create a huge range of playing surfaces from a single pitch to an entire sports complex.
Our state-of-the-art pitches incorporate the latest in drainage technology and know-how to ensure your pitch is available whatever the weather. All work is undertaken by our team of expert and professional staff with the help of our fleet of sophisticated plant machinery.
With our professional approach and unrivalled attention to detail we have constructed new pitches and facilities for a comprehensive list of both amateur and professional rugby clubs over the years, and for added peace of mind we are also members of the CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme).
Using our bulk earthwork plant and machinery, which includes 360 excavators and bulldozers we can carry out a number earthmoving, ground reshaping and grading projects and operations. These include surface removal, topsoil strip, drainage installation, laser levelling and surface installation.
Natural sports turf is frequently susceptible to flooding, particularly in winter sports due to adverse weather conditions or inadequate drainage systems. This can lead to a poor or unusable playing surface.
At Chappelow Sports Turf we understand the pressures local authorities and sports clubs face to provide high quality playing surfaces 12 months a year. As specialists in sports turf drainage, with LDCA (Land Drainage Contractors Association) affiliation, we are proficient in installing reliable and effective primary and secondary drainage systems capable of dealing with the toughest weather conditions.
We are also able to carry out repairs to existing drainage systems, and if you haven’t got a drainage system but have been affected by waterlogging we aim to remove surface water as quickly and effectively as possible to return it to an acceptable playing standard.
